Manor Drive Secondary Academy is a brand new school in the north of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The school welcomed its first cohort of 120 Year 7 students in September 2022 and is adding a new Year Group each September until full. Manor Drive is an ideal place to start or enhance your career, in a small team with high expectations. Whilst being an innovative and dynamic Academy, we have traditional values and high standards both for our students and staff. Staff are extremely supportive with ambitions of exceptional outcomes for all.

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Year to take an operational lead in maintaining high standards and aspirations. Candidates should have a clear vision for high quality teaching and learning and be able to make a contribution to whole school development through monitoring and supporting the progress of each student in their Year Group.

The successful candidate will promote the wellbeing, attainment and behaviour of our young people, providing exceptional pastoral care across KeyStages3 and 4. They will be expected to have excellent organisational skills, be competent in ICT and most importantly be able to command the respect and co-operation of both adults and young people.

  • The ability and enthusiasm to raise standards of student attainment and achievement to ensure students achieve to their best ability.
  • To lead the pastoral support for the Year Group working with Form Tutors and other internal and external agencies.
  • The ability to teach a subject to GCSE.
  • The capability to support and challenge students enabling them to achieve outstanding results.
  • The ability to be flexible and willingness to embark on a new challenge.
